Artist's Comments
Hey everyone.
I recently did another drawing and this one means a lot to me.
This is my Nonno Pino, my grandpa. He passed away and went up into heaven earlier this year which influenced me to do a drawing of him.
It is for my Art class at school. It was meant to be a self-portrait but i asked the teacher if i could do this instead and she said "it was fine" and that "it'll be good, because then there will be a lot of meaning put into the work, rather than just drawing it."
I went off to search for a good reference at home and started straight away. Many, many hours later this is finished. I'm so proud of it as this is the first time i've tried to draw a portrait. I'm sure everyone else in the family, including my nonno will be proud of me for doing this.
Of course this looks much better in real life but i hope you enjoy it as much as i do! Comments welcome!
